Process-integration sites requiring BACnet, Modbus, and legacy ASD protocol support via the NW8000 gateway alongside full OpenBMCS monitoring.
Overview
Industrial and manufacturing sites often carry decades of installed plant: different generations of controllers, proprietary protocols, and legacy gateways that predate open-standards mandates. OpenBMCS, paired with the NW8000 standalone gateway, bridges that diversity into a unified monitoring and control layer without requiring a full rip-and-replace.
The NW8000 translates ASD protocol from legacy Network 8000 controllers into the BACnet/IP that OpenBMCS speaks natively, while also supporting Modbus RTU and TCP for instrumentation and drives. This means existing field hardware keeps running while the operations team gains a modern web-based interface for graphics, alarms, and trend data.
Alarms & Notifications supports the high-volume fault environments typical of industrial sites: configurable priorities, shift-aware scheduling, and email escalation to maintenance personnel. Histories records process variables and equipment states at the intervals required for production quality assurance or regulatory reporting.
