OpenBMCS handles that complexity through its combination of Graphics Editor, Histories, and User Management, each tuned to a different stakeholder’s requirements.

Energy dashboards built in Graphics Editor give facilities managers live visibility of consumption by tenancy, floor, or HVAC zone. Histories logs the underlying data at configurable intervals and can export it automatically to support utility billing or lease reconciliation. After-hours HVAC activation events are timestamped and attributable to specific users, simplifying charge-back workflows.

User Management allows the landlord, individual tenants, and contracted maintenance providers to each operate within their own access tier. Tenants can view their own energy data and adjust comfort setpoints within agreed bounds; they cannot touch systems belonging to other tenancies or core building plant.
